MORRIS IDENTITY TRAINING II

INTRODUCTION TO IDENTITY TRAINING:

INTRODUCTION:

This program explores Scripts, patterns formed by childhood interactions with key figures, which hinder intimacy and autonomy. It emphasizes understanding two Ricochets and an Adaptation, showing how repetitive childhood experiences shape roles and responses in adult closeness. The goal is to release energy, increase freedom, and foster genuine love by transforming these ingrained Scripts.

LESSON ONE

The Repeating Drama

This document explores the phenomenon of repetitive emotional dramas—called "Scripts"—in close human relationships, detailing their signs, origins, and effects.

LESSON TWO

More Ingredients In The Pot

This lesson explores how early birth trauma, attachment issues, and Oedipal/ Electra dynamics shape personal scripts, affecting relationships and self-perception. It emphasizes recognizing and healing old traumas, avoiding negative generalizations, and carefully managing relationship ingredients. The goal is to foster mature, autonomous identities by understanding and reworking foundational emotional patterns.

LESSON THREE

But Don't They Know They're In Script?

This lesson emphasizes understanding and confronting Script patterns in relationships through education, honesty, and patience. It advocates using supportive allies, slow, detailed analysis, videotaping, and strategic persistence to break recurring childhood-based behaviors. Recognizing denial, projection, and defense mechanisms is crucial, with divorce seen as a last resort. Progress requires ongoing effort, self-awareness, and compassionate confrontation.

LESSON FOUR

Sub-Plots, Acts and Spoken Lines

This lesson explores how childhood imprints, scripts, and subplots influence adult behaviors, relationships, and choices. It emphasizes that routines, timing, values, and family patterns shape identity, often unconsciously. Recognizing and cleaning these scripts allows for greater autonomy, deeper connections, and freedom from repetitive, destructive patterns. Self-awareness and intentionality are key to transformation.

LESSON FIVE

Rewriting The Story

This lesson discusses rewriting childhood stories to foster healing, emphasizing honesty, feelings, and positive intentions of family members. It advocates visualizing, experiencing sensations, and sharing new narratives, while honoring past emotions. The process involves valuing genuine feelings, developing future visions, and choosing empowering stories over victimhood, aiming for authentic relationships and personal growth.

LESSON SIX

The New Story

This lesson emphasizes reducing the Script’s influence to near zero, fostering authentic relationships based on vulnerability, trust, and love without fear of abandonment or success. It highlights the importance of courting the inner child, being authentic, and creating relationships free from narcissism and old patterns, encouraging personal responsibility, humor, and a mission to live freely and fully.

INTRODUCTION

" We are excited to bring you this seminar because we believe that serious study and application of this material will not only greatly enhance personal freedom but will also immensely magnify the chances for closeness and intimacy. The common theme of Liberation Psychotherapy seminars (developed by the authors Frank and Dix Morris) is the unleashing of private autonomy. At the same time, they will pave the way for deep relationships. Identity Training II is pivotal to all our seminars because it deals with Scripts. "  Frank and Dixie Morris
